Tim Kapp

Tim is a recognized authority in market and product strategy. He helps companies understand their target market, position their products for growth, and build profitable product sales models.

He is co-founder of BayHill group, an investment strategy firm, which repositions undervalued public companies for rapid growth and financial success. Representative assignments include SCO, InterContinental Hotels Group, FranklinCovey, NextPage, vSpring Capital, Innodata-Isogen, Savvi International, and Sandlot Corporation.

Prior to founding BayHill Group, Tim was co-founder and Vice-President of Marketing of Arkona, Inc., During his career he also held senior marketing positions at Open Market, Reed Elsevier, Lexis-Nexis Corporation, and Folio, early leaders in Internet Publishing and eCommerce.

Tim has been an advocate of improving technology adoption through industry standards. He served on the board of the SGML Open Consortium (now OASIS), and as a representative to the W3C Internet standards body, defining and promoting the XML standard. During his career Tim has helped company's win such industry recognitions as: PC Magazine editor's choice, Windows Magazine Win Award, PC Computing MVP, and the Byte magazine Byte award of distinction; and has been published in both technology and business magazines.

Tim helped found the Utah Marketing Executive Forum and currently serves on its board. Additionally, he is a member of the Northern California Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. He holds an MBA from the Marriott School of Management and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Brigham Young University.
